I bought this shortly after they came out. Had it ever since. Sure wish I could buy a bunch of these today for the price I paid back then.

Somewhere on CT I posted a receipt I have from when I bought a tube of ASE for about $140ish for the entire 20 oz tube. I can't recall when that was anymore but I think I bought it from wscoins.com when they existed.

The premium is ridiculous now for ASE.

Completely agree. I'd rather buy junk world silver for close to melt.

Sure is great, though, for people who bought when the premiums were lower. I'm probably not under water on any of my (few) ASEs at this point, even the ones I bought when silver was in the mid-$30s.

The premiums are insane today but I paid a small premium and a low per ounce price for this.

I paid $12.83 for a boatload of Silver Eagles back in 2006. It's nothing more than an inflationary hedge. If I sold them all for $25 each today they would have about the same buying power as $12.83 did 16 years ago. Still way better than had I left the money in the bank!

The op’s coin is a candidate for TPG.
Maybe you will get the lofty and desirable MS70 grade.

I have a large amount and there are other ways to buy silver than ASE’s.

Thirty years ago, you could buy these for $6 each.

And you need 3.07 to buy today what a dollar bought in 1992. So as of today silver has kept up with inflation.

If I had been you, I would have sold it all at the 2011 Silver peak (~$45/oz) and used it to buy/pay down real estate or a good long term car purchase.

You'd be doing alot better now for sure.

I had a 1986 that I sold for less than MELT, on eBay in 2013 or something. What a terrible decision.

I did fine. Bought a box of 500 and sold 400 at $36-41 each. Made plenty and the 100 I still have were free.

I purchased a graded alligator Morgan this weekend online. but there still asking and getting 200.00 a roll for ordinary Franklins, quarters, and they sell within hours of listing...I haven't sold anything but really thinking about it at these prices, What's interesting they were getting 200 a roll when Silvers was 23.00 to 25.00 an ounce. now it's around 18.70. He won't budge off either because he knows he can get 2 bills a roll. I have purchased allot from him too.... so, I will get a chance down the line, and I will turn him on his belly. if you know what I mean
