Your 'Trajan Decius' is Gallienus, joint reign with Valerian On second examination, you're probably right - it probably is Decius. I gotta stop shooting from the hip without putting my glasses on first ( ;<{D}
For someone starting out, this seems like it would make a decent "armature or skeletal collection" which could form the nucleus of a new collection. It does seem like you got an excellent deal and a broad variety of pieces.
Roman Empire. Julia Domna (170-217). The wife of emperor Lucius Septimius Severus (193-211) and mother of emperors Caracalla and Geta).
Roman Empire. Constantine I the Great (306-337). Lugdunum Mint. Such coins were released at 313-315 A.C.
Do I understand that you paid 40 x 16 = 640 dollars ? Excuse me.. But I wanted to make sure of the price. Thanks.
No Sir. I paid a lot less. About $100 only for all of these coins. Roman coins aren't popular in Siberia. And they are rather cheap. For example: today I bought this coin of emperor Titus Flavius Vespasianus (69-79). Guess how much I paid? ONLY 9 DOLLARS!!!
