Here's the listing I might put on eBay.

ATTENTION!! All Penny Roll Bandits.. Here's your chance to bid on one Jiff Jar full of May or May not be Rare Wheat Pennies. Winning Bidder gets all the empty old paper penny rolls depicted in the listing picture. I'm not saying the rolls you sell on eBay are searched or unsearched (by you) but this is a good chance to advertise Aunt LouLou's inheritence you just received cause although you aren't a collector/dealer you might be running low on the 10 million (worthless) wheats you have stored in the garage.

This listing May or May Not offend someone and seller assumes no responsibility for any offense since this May or not May be a real listing.

Could I put 2 Indian cents in a roll, add some cull wheats, and sell it as a roll of Indian cents, with wheat cents mixed in? I think I just invented the next big scam.

I can't believe this conversation is even happening.

Like everything else, if it sounds too good to be true, than it probably is...

I mean, really? What is truly the probability that for every roll the seller has on auction, there happens to be a seated liberty dime on one end, and a 1909vdb on the other?

But kinda in the defense of the sellers(not that I support what they're doing) if they were to sell rolls of wheat tails on ends they would be lucky to get a bid because most are attracted to the possible svdb or something like that. And the buyers should know that the chance of actually getting a key date are next to nothing, because there aren't many of them and no sellers actually going to put them in a roll. The buyers just do it fro the fun of buying rolls. And what if there is one seller who decides to put in an svdb? I don't think that you should report sellers doing this. It's not really doing anybody harm other than the people stupid i=enough to fall for the trick.
