If it&#039;s a coin you really want, then paying retail price shouldn&#039;t be too big of a deal; plus the &#039;50s and &#039;60s Frankies are pretty easily obtainable at afforable prices and with spot on grades with the coveted FBL designation (FOR HE MOST PART. we all knew these companies over/undergrade at times, nobody is perfect). So with all that in mind, look around and I bet you&#039;ll find dozens Franklins slabbed and with good grades. I personally don&#039;t like ones with album toning, or any toning at all. I look for the ones with nice clean fields with few scratches. Also, those bell lines HAVE to be readable for me if it&#039;s got the FBL label. </p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>I acually have my eye on this gorgeous 1948 Frankie in a new PCGS holder with a MS64/FBL. I mean, this coin is going to cost about $110 or so I believe, but man oh man does it look great.
