Finished Box #4....Skunk. After how I started with Nickels I can hardly believe that I got 4 skunks today, and no coins for my folder (about 10 spots left 1938-61 Whitman). I did manage the dateless Buff, which I was happy about, but that was a tough day of searching.
wow, 4 boxes in a day! My nickel boxes are plastic rolled coins. takes forever to get the coins out, even longer to get them back in. As far as nickels go it really sucks having to reroll everything in order to dump it. I hope banks start getting those dump machines around here some day.
I went to a bank that I have an account at but don't visit too often and inquired about buying a box of nickels. The teller told me they don't keep too many boxes in the vault so she went to ask her superiors about ordering a box for me. She came back and told me I would be charged a $10 fee for a box of nickels. I said that's alot for coin collecting purposes and left.
I don't have much extra cash, so I think I'm going to be staying with nickels for a while now. Halves just aren't working out for me. I am still yet to find a silver half of any kind. I think I'm going to try to grab 3 or 4 boxes of nickels on Monday. Hmm I went through my coins to quick... nothing to do now tomorrow.
I might be hooked on nickels. I found this halfway through the box. Along with a couple of beat up Wars, some no date buffs, some older Jeffs (none of the dates I've been looking for). Oh, and a 5 cent from Bermuda... Looking at the V, it appears that it may be a die error around the lips. Maybe I should post it in the error section and see what people think. They may not go in my book after all if it is a good quality error.
that's a nice XF coin... the thing on the lips might be a lamination, looks like one, from what I can see.
