    Gold, 21 mm, 6.75 gm

    Obverse:
    Emperor Franz Joseph I. standing
    FERENCZ.JÓZSEF I.K.A.CS ÉS M.H.S.D.O.AP.KIR 1897
    These are abbreviations for:
    "Ferencz József Isten Kegyelméböl Ausztria Császár és Magyarország, Horvátország, Szlavónia, Dalmátországok Apostoli Királya"
    (Franz Joseph, by the Grace of God Emperor of Austria and Apostolic King of Hungary, Croatia, Slavonia and Dalmatia)

    "By Jove Sir, you've got a title!"

    Reverse:
    Crowned shield with angel supporters
    MAGYAR KIRÁLYSÁG 20 KORONA (Kingdom of Hungary 20 Korona)
    Mintmark: K B Körmöcbánya (now Kremnica)

    The hereditary title "Apostolic King" was given around AD 1000 by the Roman Catholic Pope to the King of Hungary.

    The 5 Korona silver coin has a similar obverse inscription:

    Reverse:
    Crowned shield with angel supporters
