double 2.jpg Hello again, I have new pics of these uncirculated quarters. I'm just wondering if anyone thinks it would be worth my while to join the PCGS deal and pay to have them graded, or....what? Are they even valuable? E-bay? I have The Block Island ones, the Guam ones, The drummer guy, Fort McHenry, the chick at the loom, the Minnesota Loons and more, they all look like this. I can't find any thing about them at all by Google searching error quarters, is there a good website? Thanks for your input!!!!!! These are 2018 Rhode Island, should I just toss them back?

If you have hundreds perhaps you could post a few more examples. Different dates even.

OK, I can do that later when I get home, but they all look a lot like this.

Yes, I have a lot of these E Pluribus doubles that look just like this, I was hoping that the 2's were real. God, what a colossal waste of time--I think my time coin searching is over. Anyone out there want a worthless coin collection? Ha ha.

Eh, don’t give up. Just chalk it up to a learning event and keep moving on.

What did you learn from this experience? You only need to answer that for yourself as you learned from the experience. Another new member just found a roll, yes, a roll of Indian Head Cents. A few years ago I picked up two rolls of dimes and they were all silver. Numerous other members have had similar experiences.

I encourage you to live and learn and keep doing what you like to do. Enjoy the hobby but don't turn it into a job. It's fun to search and find something but it's quite another thing to try and find that big one.

As a teacher, I tell the students that all mistakes are as important to learning as are the correct answers, but once a patient is dead or the final grade is given, you have to live with the results.

So correct your knowledge before you pay a lot , or send off for certification,or die and leave your family with the idea the coins are a big money inheritance, and "learn to learn" information that will secure you for the future. Jim
