Is not a dryer or been modified. Error of mint. All I know someone EDITED: Langage!
Someone really did screw up...
They should have left it in the washer a little longer
Please,no naked hand photo’s!
I see you have mentioned this coin several times in different posts. Glad you finally made your own. Ponca City, eh, as a chemist, I had several people I knew to go there to work. Looking at your coin, I notice that the lettering is close to the edge, or that the edge is close to the lettering. That is one of the hallmarks of a dryer coin. Also the smooth appearance of the coin would lead us to believe that this has been worn away either by abrasion or chemically. Is it more the size of a dime as you seem to have said earlier? How much does it weigh? Perhaps @Fred Weinberg will show up and give his opinion. Do you collect other things? BTW, "messed up" is better than what you said.
I don't a scale but when I can will post.thank you
Same size of a dime but same thick as the penny w no signs of grinding down
Small penny on bottom
That is a DEFDAM - Definitely Damaged
Not a Mint Error of any kind..
Welcome to EDITED Coin Talk !! Where we truly just call 'em like we see 'em.
@Hookman and @Hlongoria78
You can't say EDITED nor EDITED here on CoinTalk! .. Understood?
Sorry but it is a damaged coin, not an error. Regardless if its a dryer coin or something else, this could not have happened at the mint
Paddy, I wrote in the red colored word myself, as a JOKE. There was no other underlying word used.
I noticed that there was no edited by moderator tag...
