Hello forum members. Was channel surfing a few minutes ago and saw where HSN is selling 1986 ASEs certified by ANACS as MS70 for the "rock bottom" price of 399.95 plus shipping. Say what?! Sad part about it is they will possibly sell out of those coins at that price. A little numismatic education on the buyers part beforehand would really help. Any thoughts?
I agree absolutely with that. Just stayed there long enough to catch their sales pitch on that coin. If nothing else better is showing I will spend a little time (but no money) watching Rick Tomascka but even that gets old after a while.
HSN NEVER accurately prices coins. I watched their coin sales pitches a couple of times and couldn't imagine who would purchase a coin from HSN for 5-10x what it is worth, however, apparently someone does believe that $400 is "rock bottom".
That would be a great price if it was PCGS or even NGC. ANACS ones generally sell more in the $200-300 range
Go to the bank and visit the ATM. Withdraw $200. Return home. Flush $180 down the toilet. Same result...
Yes, don't buy from them. And believe me you aren't describing anything we haven't noted and discussed many many times.
