How would you go about reintroducing gold and silver backed currency in the USA?

    Sounds to me like you already have your mind made up. So why even ask? 100's of people on these sites like this one have asked the question a bunch of time, but when someone else has a different opinion they kind of get offended. You probably should have stated your opinion and asked everyone else what they believed.

    When you post you personal life details it becomes fair game to respond. Don't like it don't post your personal details like that. Anything posted here becomes acceptable to respond to. He didn't insult and wasn't rude.

    They didn't have National Banks then either. The Federal paper currency came first (1862), the National banks were formed in 1863 and they were created by giving Federal Charters to currently existing banks.
