Freedom is difficult :) I have been collecting coins «all over the place» for almost 20 years. I like to think of my collection as «A history of coinage». Like any history book, it will never be complete. I’ve got archaic, classical and Hellenistic Greek coins, Roman republican, imperatorial, imperial and provincial coins, Byzantine, Medieval, Islamic, Oriental coins, European, US and World coins, paper money and a bunch of exonumia. It’s a mess. Every year I remind myself to be more selective, and I’m making small steps towards it, but there are too many great coins to limit myself from. You can to a certain extent define your own set of Roman emperors, by using a credible list to follow, for example from The Encyclopedia Britannica: https://www.britannica.com/topic/list-of-Roman-emperors-2043294 I have learned a lot from following auctions, when it comes to identifying types, identifying types I want, and prices.
