I compared it (as well as I could) with mine. That's why I'm tending toward calling it real at the moment.
My question is, Where is the doubling on the rest of the date? Even with the whizzing, that doubling should be visible even if it is just from a thickening of the digits. And I would still expect the notching to be visible.
Sad just sad either way. If this is a cleaned double die, or if someone is altering coins. It is issues like these that kill this hobby. Not sure what I think it maybe, but either way just sad. However great tips on cleaning coins! regards, S
