How to identify a fake?

Members of the ANA receive a copy of The Numismatist magazine each month. Members can also take courses on counterfeit detection & all kinds of other interesting subjects.

Several counterfeits just don't look right. When you are at a coin show, look into the dealer cases & see if you can locate a coin that "just doesn't look right". If it doesn't look right, then it may be suspect.
