Using your thumb and forefinger, apply pressure on the plastic lenses covering the hole nearest the edge of the page and pull toward the edge of the page. You might have to repeat this more than once if the album is for small coins, i.e. 1c, 5c, 10c, but you will eventually see the edge of the lenses coming out of the slot.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>One more thing, if you&#039;ve never used this type of album before, be sure that the back lens is in place before inserting the coins. When you put the coins in, make sure that they are pressed against the back lens before you insert the front lens. <b>Note: You should definitely be wearing cotton gloves while doing this.</b> This will eliminate the possibilty of the leading edge of the top lens from scraping one or more of the coins as it is being inserted.
