    Mirror image

I see this term in many ads for replicas
Can any one tell me is there a consistent
    definition of "Mirror Image"?

I know when I see that phrase- don't buy!

I think if the "fakes" work" for you...go for it!!!!---I know I will never be able to buy a 1895-P Morgan unless my job changes over night!!!!

As I (and many others) have said before...collect the way YOU want...nobody else can (or should) tell you how to collect.

Dictionary.net defines it as ""a likeness in which left and right are reversed." What you see in a mirror is a "mirror image", and a coin die has a mirror image of the coin engraved in it.

However, in typical junk advertising-speak distortion, I guess it's supposed to mean that it looks "just like" the original.

    You got that right! :D

Sorry, but with the kids I go for the Honda Accord....my Batmobile days are gone.

As for fakes, I'd rather have the open slot knowing that I have the actuals. I'd save up and build one at a time.
