Since this involves money and I’m of Scottish descent I will share a few thoughts on Scottish thriftiness. Rumor has it copper wire was invented when 2 Scots found a penny. or the Grand Canyon was formed when a Scot dropped a nickel down a gopher hole.... Two friends, one Irish and the other a Scot took a vacation in Mexico. They rented a car and then went to a cantina for lunch. They gorged on tacos, bean burritos and chimichangas then decided to take a drive into the desert. After a few hours the combination of Mexican food and Mother Nature began to take its effect and they desperately began to search for a bathroom. Finally they see a 2 seater outhouse in a field and they come to a screeching stop in front of it and rush in. As the Scot is dropping his pants a few coins fall out of his pocket and fall into the hole. After he finished, the Scot pulls 2 crisp $100 bills from his wallet and drops them in the hole. His Irish friend watches in horror and asks, “Why did you do that?” The Scot looks at him and replied, “ Surely you don’t think I’m going down there for just 15 cents, do ya?”
