Then holding the insert, you flex it in the middle until it is L shaped. Then holding the corners of the bottom leg of the L, you place it over the coin, being careful not to touch the coin. Then you merely release the top of the insert, it flattenes out over top of the coin, and you push down the upper corners of the insert until the coin is encased in the insert.
