I'd be more successful collecting hen's teeth or Powerball winners than legitimate MS70 Business Strikes of circulating coinage. Then again, somebody's eventually going to win the Powerball and I'm sure hens are occasionally born with teeth.
Most of the MS70 grades are given out by fraudulent grading companies servicing the TV coin business, IMHO.
Yes they have taken precautions, they changed the guarantee. Under the current guarantee if the coin goes bad (discolors develops spots etc) after it is slabbed the grade guarantee does not apply and PCGS is not liable to reimburse you for the downgrade. NGC has does the same.
Just wondering, how much time do they look at a coin like that 70 (or a 69 or 68 for that matter) before coming to a decision compared to the usual amount of time they spend on each coin they grade?
