<p>[QUOTE=&quot;CRH in MN, post: 186301, member: 7331&quot;]A couple of boxes a couple of times a week.</p><p><br /></p><p>Usually about 2 boxes of pennies and 2 boxes of nickels a week, sometimes more and sometimes less depending on finances at home and time availability (usually more in the winter and less in the summer).&nbsp; Occasionally I add a box of dimes or quarters though I usually just look through the clear plastic rolls at the bank and buy the ones with silver looking coins in them since it only takes a couple seconds to scan the rolls they have.&nbsp; I also get half dollars when I can find them, or occasionally order a box.&nbsp; About to start trying to get a couple of boxes of halves a week.</p><p><br /></p><p>Lotsa branches of the banks with which I have accounts so I can spread out cashing in and getting coins such that they usually only see me once every month or two, some banks slightly more than others so tellers don&#039;t seem to mind much.&nbsp; That and some of the local banks have installed the self coin counting machines at no charge to customers so all the teller needs to do is handle the paper receipt.&nbsp; I cash in at those branches most often.</p><p><br /></p><p>I used to go the local casinos late at night, but they have all but gone to strictly paper tickets, so not much benefit for coin hunting any more.</p><p><br /></p><p>I&#039;ve only had one bank manager say anything and that was due to teller telling me he&#039;d have a box for me whenever I wanted.&nbsp; So I tried going there more often and after a few weeks the manager approached me and asked me to slow it down (of course the teller never had a box for me either which made it all the more maddening).&nbsp; I asked how often was still acceptable and she said a box a month or so.&nbsp; Every time I have been back there since, they always tell me they don&#039;t have any boxes they can sell me, so I just cash in there instead.&nbsp; I get the impression the manager watches coins at that branch like a hawk and if they needed 5 boxes of pennies for the week she would order 3.&nbsp; </p><p><br /></p><p>Oh well, enough rambling for now and good luck to others as the search continues.[/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
