It's a hard lesson finding out you have a fake. But it makes you a better collector.

I sold it for $55.00. I picked it up at a dig in Italy in 1967. It was inside of a terracotta piece, which went to the Italian government. I was there and you weren't.

Would you like to explain yourself as English is my second language.

I think once is enough. We do know how to read.

You should have mentioned you got it from a dig in your original post.

I think you are trolling for reactions. You've had several expert opinions from people who are passionate and knowledgable about ancient numismatics, and the consensus is the coin is a fake.

My original post was a picture of the coin, obverse and reverse. I didn't think that it was necessary to mention where I had obtained it,
especially with my name, Onofrio Bacigalupo, which is Italian. I expect all of you to know that the Romans lived in Italy.

I don't troll. It is what it is and I have had the coin in my possession since 1967 since I picked it up at a dig with other students, professors,
researchers, and archeologists from L'Universita' di Firenze.

I have never seen such sophistry, envy, jealousy and buffoonery in all of my seventy years.

I don't know why you would assume we would know that you are Italian and are living in Italy.

My last name is polish, but I don't live and have never lived in Poland.
    thread needs to get locked.

You should get out more then. The word "jealousy" is redundant in that sentence by the way.

But seriously, if you don't agree with the free expert advice you've sought and received, then by all means pay for a professional opinion from someone like David Sear. He might tell you what you want to hear, but I won't hold my breath.

I find all of your comments to be redundant. Treat yourself to a trip to Italy, participate in a dig and see what you can come up with.
