Like Christmas morning! Just need that 005 line item to say PF70. And let me tell you, I am this excited because I really think it has a chance to go PF70. Stunning condition.
I can still hear my Dad saying "you see this set right here, I wish I bought 1000 of em when I had the chance"
How much more waiting ? When did ya send them in ? Two months is about normal and three is not unheard of.
Like June 23rd. But given the value, I had to pay a higher tier of service. Think it was 12 bus day turn around? Plus I am having them image them for me. Now that I am thinking about it, that really only is beneficial if it comes below PF70 on the S$1. Because I would send this into Heritage if it does come that way. Paid $250 to have those puppies graded.
I hope you get it too, but all it takes is a tiny little nick in the frost to knock it down to PF69. Chris
I know. Very rare chance. I guess I should be happy if its a PF69. Difference of $10k between a PF69 and PF70. When I get the images, we can have a guessing game.
It's very, very difficult to guess the grade for a proof coin. Photos just can't show most tiny nicks which are often no larger than a pinprick. Chris
I wasn't kidding when I wrote it Chris. I just thought the value was much more on the 99's than the 95's.
I just sent off a full steps 1943-D nickel in MS66 (Dare I say 67?) and what I believe to be a DDR to ANACS. Just received confirmation of receipt today. Gonna be a long hot month!
I don't know about value, but a MS70 1999 is a lot rarer than a PF70 1995 W. PCGS graded 84 1995 W's and 0 1999's in the 70 grade. NGC graded 382 1995 W's and 102 1999's in the 70 grade. A MS70 1999 silver eagle graded by PCGS would be a unique coin.
