Hmm, of course, one could bake it into a Christmas pudding as well, but then that opens you up to accusations of artificial toning.

I'm pretty sure it's already been tried if it tones silver. It seems every possible method of artificially putting bidiot bait on a hunk of silver is being tried.

@Jaelus has a great point because in my reading and by what the grey sheets say, many of the circulated coins in MS condition are worth more then its uncirculated or Proof counterpart. Why? Its simple, it was intended to be used and so care is not usually given to them. In contrast, if you have a uncirculated coin and it is banged up or has a lot of wear on it, well it will be worth much less.

Additionally, for modern coins, many collectors order the PR version leaving the MS issue with a lower mintage and stronger demand later in the secondary market.

    Yep.
I noticed today that the Lion's Club Silver Dollar is 51.95 Uncirculated, 52.95 Proof. Huh? I also thought, who's gonna buy this then had the DUH moment, googled,
1.5 million Lions Club members. They're making 400,000. Gotta figure the guys with the funny hats and water balloon fights at their conventions will put these in their trophy rooms, possibly making a scarce numismatic market population to fight over.

There really are some terminology holes where everyone kind of puts their own wording on it or just flat out has to describe which one. With the ASEs I've always called the collector W versions the uncir versions, I'm sure that others use different terms

Worse even I hear. Alcohol parties even. Loose women. Pandemonium. Disgraceful. I'd love to join but they do background checks I think. I may be destined for the Mummers Parade I fear.

I did the Lion coins too. I figured anything that bad will end up low mintage :dead:

Take a guess where the release ceremony was held for the 2005 USMC Silver Dollar Commemorative!

I'll give you a second chance. It has something to do with the USMC.
