It'd be super-rude if it turned out they were drilling into the edge and extracting 1/10 of the coin's weight, just for truth in advertising...

Are you talking about the weight or how it's headlined "American Gold Eagle" when it's actually 1/10 AGE?

The coin contains 1/10 of 99.999% gold.
This coin is made of 92% gold 8% other (Cu)
The coin weighs more than 1/10 Oz.
