How much does it cost to have a coin graded and slabbed by PCGS, ball park figures are fine or post how much you paid for a particular coin?

PCGS rates can be found on their web site.

If you get the platinum memership or something its $200 for memership plus 8 free submissions. Plus shipping it works out to be $28 each.

There's also rules on those submissions like they all have to be regular coins or not gold or whatever the agreement is. Personally if it's not terribly important I would go with ANACS. PCGS is the best but the best is not always required. If you have a rare gold coin then you need the best. If you have a proof Kennedy then not so much.

When you submit coins, you have to sign up for PCGS or have a dealer submit coins for you (I think, never submitted). Then you pay the main fee to grade the coin, unless you purchase one of the membership plans with free submissions. You can also try NGC, the other major TPG

If one was to sign up for platinum membership at a show like long beach, would they give you the 8 vouchers then and there?
