so i see some gold at auction, and the question is, do you pay market price http://goldprice.org/ and hope it goes up, or do you keep your max bid lower by a certain amount?
If I am going to pay market price for anything, I go to a dealer. That way, I can get a return or deal with the individual if I am unhappy with what I buy. I only bid on items when I want to get a better deal. Today, I am not buying PM's. I think it is a better time to sell a little at a time as the prices continue to climb. IMHO
i was reading this http://www.cointalk.com/t127483/ and kind of think its too soon to sell gold. there is a link in that thread that has analysts predicting $5000. but who knows. thanks if i do bid ill keep it under market.
ok so its gone over market price with 2 hours remaining. wonder if its worth more. is a 1/10th of an ounce of 999 gold snow whit 50 anniversary coin sealed in a plastic disk. would pst the link but i dont want to advertize against myself if its a good deal.
youve got a point. maybe ill let this one go. i just dont see being able to actually get gold for less than market value. went for 144. not sure if price was right but one bidder was bidding against themselves bidding twice in a row a few times. wonder if the seller had a helper?
In my opinion $144 was a great price. What you've got to remember is that fractionals are becoming scare. You just can't pic one up for spot anymore. So now that it's over how about telling us what it was or providing the link?
bottom of page gold snow white with 2 pins http://cgi.ebay.ca/1987-1-10th-OZ-S...400?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c57e77448 wa basing my not buy on garys suggestion that he wouldnt pic pm's up for more than spot on auctions. i take it a few people disagree
Yea, I would have bought it but, only if the shipping was around $5. This person is taking the buyer to the cleaners with $11.45 shipping from Tn. You did ok folding at $135, good for you.
now im looking at gold pandas...oh boy... at least disney never put out bogus coins...well i guess they did (tokens) but if it says 999 gold, i believe it.
Use Apmex and spot for your benchmark. If I buy from Fleabay I try to pay no more than a percentage point or three over and shipping in the U.S. should be no more than $4-$8 depending on now much the coin weighs. i.e. The coin is a 2010-1/10th ozt AGE, Apmex wants $158, spot is $137.5. I try and get it from Fleabay for no more (max bid) than $145.
