At the bottom of the "Claim Form," you'll see that the U.S. Post Office is involved and could be a partner in this "government" program. The "nearly 3 pounds" of coins includes wheaties, buffalo nickels, IHCs, 1943 steelies, V-Nickels, etc. Even Bicentennial Quarters! What's sad and surprising to me is that a former Treasurer of the United States would collaborate with this scheme. But then, she's now 90+ in age.
