Makes me sick how many went through my fingers when they were circulating! Too soon old,too late smart? Almost there are quite a few out West here, just need to know where to look!.....

Wait a minute, let me check my pocket. Yes, I have 0 wheat cents. Even as a kid I had no desire to own any longer than it took to spend them. Never understood why the other kids did want to collect them. Coins that were in general circulation at the time were simply what I spent to buy "real" coins for my collection.

Where do you guys buy your wheat cents. I have amassed some out of circulation ~3000 or so the last 2 years or so and I want to get back into the wheat game. It is one of my favorite u.s. coins.

Well, I do have one: a 1909 VDB (not S).

There are probably many more in this huge change vat I have by the fireplace. Probably will search during wet winter days coming up.

Although I really don't collect them, I really do like them.
