Guess depends on the definition of complete.....I have 14 holes left in my album, several in 2X2's...... so for phase I i have 14 left (pre-upgrade)
As some of you know from a previous story my daughter is hooked on Morgans. She has trouble not spending all of my money on just morgans. It's actually kind of Scarry is a nice way to see a 7 year old on ebay looking at morgans. But I'm trying to teach her to be frugal with her (Mommy and Daddys) money. At this point we have 15 all different dates, most common but to her every one is special. We do plan on a full book at some time. In the future
New Orleans "O" Mint Morgans are the only US coins that I collect. I began my collection before I decided to focus on World Gold ( Thanks Doug) so I haven't added any new coins within the last 2 years or so. 27 mint years available (1879-1904) 18 in collection (All Mint State - MS 63 >) 9 remaining (6 of those 1886, 1893-97, are tough years in MS = $$$$$) I'm not sure where I'm heading with trying to complete this series but for now I'm on hold .... I just hate to sell the beauties that I have cherry picked after having looked at so many of these, afterall nice Orleans Mint Morgans are not the easiest to find in strong strikes and high quality. I have modeled my collection after Q. David Bowers' Optimal Collection Grade standards as outlined in his book on Morgan Silver Dollars.
