What about zero...I'm from the school that if you offer me enough, I'll sell it.

I'm not sure of how many but one corner of my house is sinking.
    Lincoln cents are really heavy:)

    Mine's 1-2-3-4-5.

As for the poll, 200-300, not including notes. (Actually, probably including notes too, I don't think that would put me over 300.) Not sure which side of 250 though. I don't know if that's necessarily 'hold on to the rest of my life', but it's in what I consider the collection.

Maybe you should have stated "quality coins, identified". Even then I am north of 5,000, but at least not so far above it I kept looking for the 25k, 50k, 100k levels lol.

    Guys, lighten up a little.
I see threads all the time that I don't like or have a tough opinion on, but a lot of times, I just skip that thread and move on.
This was a 'for fun' question, and if you don't want to participate, just don't do so :)

I had to bump mine up a level for the 'miscellaneous wheat rolls' factor like many of you.

Didn't you post this same question a while ago?

Or at least, you had a thread called "Not to brag..." or something of that nature where you asked others how big their collection is.

For the record, I have 40 "collectible coins", not counting Mercs I only have 26 "collectable coins"

Your scale doesn't go high enough. I'm around 24,000 different pieces and that does NOT include bulk or duplicates.

Dang Conder, and I thought I was bad!!!

I think to get much past the 1,000 mark, (not counting bags of wheat pennies or junk silver), it helps to be a world or ancient collector. Opens up the field tremendously!

All it takes is one bag of Cents to make 5000 so hoarding Lincolns put's me at a high number. I don't really 'love' the Lincolns though. Now the 200 or so large cents are entirely different with each being a treasure. Then several hundred common mercurys are in reserve when I need a break from the cents.

I've never been inclined, nor had the time to count all my coins, but my wife informs me I have too many. Two safes full, however many that may be, and growing. It'll ensure my kids will despise me some day when they have to sort through it all.

Seems so! I was not expecting people to have so many! I figured maybe 1 or 2 people would have over 5,000. My scale was way off! Your collection is INSANE!
