After reading the description of the 361 staters at the BM website, which says absolutely nothing about the monograms, I still don't have the right reference. Maybe the colonies of Corinth used the Qoppa ϙ below Pegasus for Corinth and on the reverse they used their own mintmark, e.g. A for Ambracia, Δ for Dyrrhachium, Λ - E - Y for Leukas ? is this a possibility? Any thoughts and or reference are most welcome !
It is almost like it is a mule but from dies from two different cities, which does not seem very likely. I don't have a reference dedicates to these coins. :-( John

Does anyone know when the city name was changed from MEΣA to META? There seems to be some date overlap in the coins I have seen offered for sale. Silvers seem to be META but there are bronzes both ways.
