There are times that the people that have been a member for quite a while, don't have the patience with Newbies because they ask questions that we did when we joined. I joined January 2019, which is only about 3 years ago. It is true that we do ask a lot of questions when we first join, but after a while, like me, I found out I had a lot to learn. My father taught me to listen until you can ask a question that will be informative. Coin Talk is a great place to get answers, but first, you need to listen. I get answers to coin collecting question from several different places. I appreciate the help I have gotten from Coin Talk, but I read The Numismatist from ANA, Coin World, and many other sources. I got a lot of information from Local Collectors, Coin Shops, and my uncle that lives 3,000 miles away in California.

I will say this again. The people I have met through many of the places I go, have been more than willing to help me. Then through my blog in Numismatist website. I did get in a quandary when I was going through my father's coin collection. A great deal of his coins were almost unreadable, and thanks to a member of Coin Talk, I was told that I needed to get a loop or magnifying glass so I could look closer at his coins. That opened another world for me. I'm, by no means, very knowledgeable about all his coins, but thanks to coin talk, many of my questions have been answered. I have been keeping a journal about my life since I was 17. Any question that I have, I write it in my journal, leaving space for an answer, if or when it ever comes. I still have gaps in my journals, awaiting answers, hoping and praying that one day I will find out the answers I have been looking for. Thanks and many thanks for helping me through a divorce, a death of my son and the birth of my grandson. All of those that are a part of this fantasy of coin collecting, stay with it. One day, you too, will get answers to your questions.
