How is your local coin shop?

I don't know of any coin shops in the East Texas area. I'm pretty well stuck with buying online (mostly ebay) or going to local flea markets on the weekends and hope to find someone selling decent coins. The flea market thing is usually about a 50/50 chance, and half the time, the few dealers there are overpriced and won't budge. One guy wouldn't even hook me up with a decent deal when I bought over $125 in coins from him. Tried to get him to throw in a pre 64 quarter for free. Wasn't happening. Some folks are just stiff I guess.

Might be because prices have dropped dramatically the last couple of years due to this depression. The guy probably thinks he is taking a loss at the current sell prices as it is, so why bend any further ? So many dealers seem to be retired guys with income from other sources, and the coins are just something to do.
