How is copper worth so much more then gold?

    Was on this website and noticed a chart on, precious metals and saw that Copper was $6,897.55 but was down - $5.51.

    If copper is worth so much how come no one invest it in? I'm I missing something?

    That's probably the price per ton, not price per ounce like is used for the precious metals.

    ... what site did you see that on, exactly? Copper is worth a little over three dollars a pound...

    Yeah that is price/ton. Otherwise, I'd be pulling the plumbing and electrical wiring out of my house.
