And when the amounts involved total tens of thousands of dollars or more for any given year, it would be downright foolish to not do so. Unless you want to risk huge fines and possible jail time. </p><p><br /></p><p>It is also worth noting that coins you sell at a loss can be used to offset those you sell at a profit. And, those sold at a loss can also be used to carry for a few years.
