HOW GOOD ARE YOU ON YOUR PAPER GRADING SKILLS ?

So how good are your paper grading skills ? though not an exact science as everybody interprets things different, We will see who has the right stuff and should put in there

How can one grade paper from a photograph?!

 

You can't! CONTEST OVER.

Perhaps he wants our opinion on "centering."

 

Looking for your best estimate here all the notes i post will be close to mint state
And problem free unless i make some comments otherwise, and you can make
your own assumptions from there

I know very little about grading paper...I'm not much of a paper guy. I know that centering is important and this one is off. Folds, holes, cuts, creases...sharpness of corners(?) effect grade. I'm really out of my element here.

 

Washed and pressed does not show up well in photos. Nor does paper texture.

 

If i do great ,if not thats ok to, simply trying to make things interesting if you dont want to participate thats certainly your prerogative

Perhaps you could try to educate us? Homey would like that game!

Take a graded piece of currency and post up photos of creases, stains, etc + the large photo of centering and then we can try to guess why it received the grade it did?

 

I will do my best, just make your best guesstimate

Ok, for the next note we our in my realm a Series 661 $10 circa 1970 used for
The Vietnam War

i can tell you first off this note has no folds rips, tares or pin holes basically its
a problem free note from looking at the scans, so name that grade, i will update
The leader board next week

The right answer is in there somewhere, take in to account this is a very rare note
