i have had a few early high grade lincoln cents that had toned quite a bit in about 3 to 6 months just by leaving them in plastic flips and 2 by 2 cardboard holders.
Umm, that's not the point behind the uncertainty principle. The uncertainty principle is simply that you can't know both position and momentum simultaneously. What you're describing is much closer to the dead cat the post after yours mentions. As for toning, I bought a 1962 proof set that was blast white in the OGH. Threw it in a box with a bunch of 1964 proof sets, and two months later, half of the Franklin was orange, and the penny looked bleached.
