My family good-naturedly makes fun of me but are happy that I enjoy it. Now the coworkers they ride me like a mule about it, making fun of the microscope, lighted magnifier and the loupe and looking at serial numbers. It's all in fun though. John
I fall between #1 & #2. No avid collectors but they do show some interest and even watch thier change for coins they think might interest me. My daughter pulls coins for me from her work register and one son has a state quarter album he keeps up fairly well.
Finally a second vote for: "Family? What family? They left after I spent the college savings and retirement accounts. " Phew, I was beginning to think that I was all alone in this cold cruel world of coin collecting. snif, snif.
Hehe bump. Love the thread. Just thought I'd share, Number 4 mostly.. They only care about the value, even if I only find a 2 dollar silver dime they roll their eyes because I had to search 250 and they complain about how I'm not profiting because they usually short me and the gasoline. Whatever though.
