This is one major error to slip past quality control.

And I thought the BEP had stricter standards than the Mint

The final line in the 1959 movie Some Like it Hot starring Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon is “Nobody’s perfect”.

Not nearly as common now as in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s.

I bought this note raw a little over a year ago and submitted it for grading. A dramatic error yes, but to me, the most significant factor is it’s a series 2009. There are still errors getting past the inspection equipment but typically not as many and not this remarkable.

Steve, I'm curious to know why PMG didn't label it as a printing error also. Any thoughts?

Would the third print be lined up correctly, if the cut was correct?

    My apologies.

I just realized the face scan I posted was the scan I made when I first got the note back from from PMG. I didn’t agree with the description so I contacted Jennifer at PMG and she said to return the note for a new label. This is the correct face scan.
