They fit nicely in standard 2x2 boxes on the shelf, and protect the coins quite well from possible rubbing/scratching damage from a roll, tube, a flip or whatever.</p><p><br /></p><p>Lower quality or bulk coins, as well as the bullion, go into the square tubes into boxes, where I don't care about possible rubbing or scratching while in the tube. </p><p><br /></p><p>Anything that is spendable goes into various cups and jars around the house that we all use when we need some.</p><p><br /></p><p>I'm aware the plastics are much more than cardboard, but hey, if it's a nice coin, it gets very good treatment regardless of it's worth ratio. If I've no problem spending $12 for a greasy burger lunch, I could instead make a healthier sandwich for $2 and nicely preserve 25 coins also.
