Over the years ..I think I've tried just about everything known...as well some new ideas. When I colldcted Jefferson nickels I had then in 1.5 x 1.5 flips, with the notation card in one side. I put the coin in a kointain, facing obv. Outwards with note card under that had the date,as well other notations. I liked the smaller flips, plus more fit on the plastic binder pages. I've have several series in album like books. I also use 2x2's in the plastic pages in a binder....for larger coins. I have 2x2 storage boxes, the slabs are in those double row boxes. Some are in airtights depending on the size and series. I also self slab...as I can make my own labels and document on the slab. As a variety collector only Anacs grades as well marks the slab with the variety . I will admit of all the storage options... it seems to my liking none work for all the different sizes and series. I guess the answer is personal choice..of what works for your needs. Are you the type who likes to review and enjoying looking at them? Are you the type who finds a specimen and puts it in a 2x2 envelope in a box and then noting your collection in a ledger,or an on line site to store and manage your collection? The reason I ask...over 50 years of collecting I am still rethinking my likes as well not liked coin storage. I known some who has their collection on display...as they say they enjoy them more...well I get that...but... hanging them on a wall or use another type ofdisplay? Lastly do you keep them in a safety deposit box? I guess my answer to the op's is what have you found..that one size fits all of your needs?
