It can open your eyes and sharpen your skills. I have sold for a small fee two collections that non collectors have gotten. If I run into a dealer that does not want to pay a reasonable amount for items, I then offer him low ball prices for his items. That wakes a few of them up. I say well you only wanted to pay $50 for a popular $100 item so I figured you would sell a $50 cost item for $65. That still gives you a profit for what you would pay for the item. That gets them talking and then I get a better offer. They have to make some profit. I do not work for nothing at my job.
