I put all mine in the appropriate size flip. I have a large desk with many drawers...I am pretty scattered in how I file them...that is...I put them in rows but not organized in any particular way...the next coin I get is the next coin in line. So needless to say, if I need to find a specific coin...good luck because there is no order. I keep common world coins in the two biggest drawers, I keep very rare coins and gold coins in another, notgeld and tokens in another, ancients in another, medals in another, scrap silver in another. again...no particular order in how they are filed.

I plan to go through the whole collection this year to check the condition of each coin, make sure iron isnt rusting or BD isnt rearing its ugly head....I might try to put them in order by country at that time. My nephew wanted a Japanese coin to take to school for a project he was doing on Japan...it took me an hour to find them because I have no filing system. I am more of a hoarder...I get shiny metal things and pack them away in my nest. I need to be more organized about it.
