A few minutes more of the hard rain (red on weather map) or a shorter slow period with no rain and we would have had water inside. My wife had a friend rescued by boat from the roof of her garage. Our next door neighbors (6 months along in pregnancy) left our 14' elevation neighborhood for his dad's house at 41'.
