Is there a way to find different mints? I live in pa. And I get alot of p mints. Do certain banks have certain mints? Or is it a hit and miss? What's the best way to get different mints is my question.. ty all for all the help..
Circulation coins are hit and miss. I live in the West Coast and Denver mint coins are overwhelmingly represented. No real set way to get a variety of mints out of circulation. I mostly buy the yearly mint sets to get my current year sets.
Make a friend on the west coast so you can exchange your philly mints for their Denver mints. As a rough idea, east of the Mississippi is Philly and west is Denver. S is in sets only.
You'll have to exchange with people. Living in the Midwest I get mostly Philadelphia, some Denver. With San Fran minted coins I would never know they'd exist if I waited to get them in change.
If you mean going to a certain mint there are 4 currently open mints Philadelphia, Denver, San Francisco, and West Point. I think The only other mint that is closed is Fort Knox. I'm not sure if the confederates had one. But if you want Coins with those different mints, ( I live in pa as well) Option 1. Buy them, Option 2. exchange them with other people, Option 3. Coin roll hunt for them. That is just what I think.

At least I took him south to Baltimore before turning him west. If he wants anything left to spend when he gets to Denver, he REALLY doesn't want to get involved with the usurious and obscene Pennsylvania Turnpike tolls.
