Take 2: Lights: Two veriflux full spectrum daylight 13 watt cfls (60 watt eqiv.) Shone almost directly on the slab (any closer and the bulb reflects on the coin). In a 10/2 position. Angle: Straight above, like a copy stand. Shot at auto white balance. ISO: 100 F-Stop: 2.8 (all the way open, it's not adjustable). Exposure 0 (lower/higher are worse.) Editing program (for brightness/contrast adjustment): Google Picasa 3. I tried doing a toned cent. But at that angle, toning disappears. Here is a barber quarter I did.
53 the lights are too bright in areas, the quarter and 54 pictures are much better then all previous ones. Only issue is that the new 54 picture shows a lot more spots.
I moved the lamps in a different setting. I was able to snap this. and this: Maybe too much light is bad? I could not capture the toning on this cent.
