    A good first step into ancients, congrats.
    I don't like slabs either, and would crack it out, but what the heck, to each it's own, store it the way you like :)

    The father?? Gordian III wasn't the father of Philip I. Did I misunderstand your post?

    There have been a lot of nice ancients posted in here! Looks like I might go after his entire family, I don't think I am going to break this one out but I will probably buy the rest raw.
    I also didn't know that NGC doesn't guarantee authenticity :0
