I think the designs will probably be pretty bad.

Here what it says for the obverse

    (c) OBVERSE DESIGN COMPETITION.—The Secretary
shall hold a competition and provide compensation for its
winner to design the common obverse of the coins minted
under this Act, with such design being emblematic of the
    game of baseball.

    And for the reverse

    (d) REVERSE DESIGN.—The design on the common
reverse of the coins minted under this Act shall depict a
baseball similar to those used by Major League Baseball.

Oh and they want the coins to be cupped so the reverse looks more like a baseball. This means the "design emblematic of baseball" will be struck on a concave surface.

All the standard inscriptions are required (And since I have never seen any of them on a baseball, they may all have to go on that concave side. Oh and nowhere does it require an inscription mentioning the Baseball Hall of Fame.

And all three coins are to have the same designs. So you need a design that works on the large silver dollar that also works on the nickel sized five dollar gold piece.
