I did not tell you to take a hike and you had every opportunity to respond back and say that my offer was unacceptable to you.
I am being honest. I sincerely believe that this coin is MS65PL.
I bought this coin off ebay late last year. I could have returned it, but I did not even consider it because I liked the coin. In no way was I trying to pass along a "bad buy".
I am sorry that you think you were ripped off. I sincerely believe that this is MS65PL. I could not and cannot see the wear that you are referring to...but to show my good intentions on clearing up this matter, I am now going to send you $60. Basically down to my price.
I have owned a large number of solid DMPL and PL morgans. Early this year I sent an 1880-S to NGC and it came back MS65PL when I only graded it MS64PL. I've also owned a considerable number of raw dmpl and pl's that I sold. No disrespect intended, but believe me, I know what a prooflike morgan looks like. I do try to participate in this hobby in the right way and by no means did I intend to rip anyone off. If $45 would have resolved the matter, $60 should be even better.

    more refund

    Dan,
Of course $60 is better. Keep raising your offer, LOL, I'll take it!!!

If you honestly think that the coin is a MS-65 PL, I have the CDN in front of me: bid is $600. So, in otherwords, a refund of about $140 ( I said I would pay your fees ) and your going to pass up a coin you " honestly " grade a 65 pl? Honest? Really? Think about it. Honest? Hmmmm, $600 / $140, wow, hard decision. Honest? Really?

This is getting fun the more I get to know you, you squirm like I did at your age. But, reputations are heard to lose, and in this hobby / trade, I sure would not want to get a bad one. The $140 would probably hurt you alot more than it will me, but the $$$ is the least of it. Integrity and principle are worth much more than a quick profit on a coin.

    Hmmm, Go figure.

    $600 for a MS65PL? That would be MS65DMPL.

That's for DMPL...not PL. A distinct difference. That's why I asked in an earlier thread where the price guide was/is for "PL" coins, as I have not seen one. I have '84 CC PCGS MS65PL, and I can't find anyone who wants it for a decent price because, while DMPL is in most price guides, a coin with a PL designation is not.

Oh yeah, I bought it raw on eBay for CDN AU bid...

Gentlemen - I am going to make a suggestion, a rather simple one. That is that the two of settle this someplace else besides in public. It is between you two and not us and this is not the place for it.

By all means feel free to report back later when your business is concluded. But only when your business is concluded.
