    Ever imagine whose or how many different people's fingers a coin has passed through? Especially a hard coin like these nickels that have worn so badly.     I was going to say they're good Lowball candidates, but It's gonna be tough to determine the date for that Shield.

    It's kinda neat how these coins can circulate so poorly and still be recognizable!

    Should I have played GTG? I don't think anyone would grade them better than Poor1

    PO01 only works if the date of the coin is known beyond a shadow of a doubt.

    The V would probably grade PO01 because you can determine the date. But unless there's some die markers that narrow down the date for the Shield, then it would be either returned ungraded, or marked "Genuine"
