Being cheap ($9.00) the focuser broke the first time I used them. When things break I have a tendency to take them apart to see how they work and how they are put together. I took the binoculars apart. I discovered a few months ago that the secondary lens (the one closet to your eye) makes an outstanding loop. This one about 12x. Very clear image and clean to the edge. A couple of days ago I decided to see what I could do with the objective lens’s. I removed one from the tube assembly and checked it. It makes a great 2x – 2.5x loop for quick checks of coins. Next I unscrewed the other tube assembly and inserted the two objectives into it…WOW…it made a great magnifier.</font></font></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><font face="Comic Sans MS"><font size="3">Being that I’m lazy I needed a way of supporting this viewer without holding it. At the local hardware store I found a PVC fitting that fit the tube perfectly. A 3” into 4” coupler. I brought it home, drew a pattern on it and cut it out using a Dremel tool.
